Thinking about pillars of the earth and the book club ladies. Wonder how they are liking it. Intense and clich? at the same time

Christmas Eve
Everyone I know is remembering. Recalling Christmases past, traditions that had to be let go for one reason or another.
For me, I miss lighting the advent wreath kept on the dining room table. I miss having a huge party after Christmas Eve service at church, rushing home from the early service while Dad stayed to light more candles. Helping Mom get the ham balls ready and make sure there was ice...

The Request
Bronwyn put at the top of her surprisingly short Christmas wish list “sewing machine.”
Be still my heart. My kids have always had access to a wide array of crafting supplies and opportunities between their Grandma Luitwieler, their mom, even Grandpa Perrine. It always starts small, with maybe stickers or some paint. I’m a big believer in the no-rules approach to crafting. Sure,...

The weather links I go to for my accu weather needs all said the same thing. Fourteen degrees (feels like 4).
What? It feels like 4? My little internal...
Really?
Did not realize I posted the dreaded mound of monkeys more than once. I guess I’m kinda proud of the little buggers. Not again though.
Old Friends
A friend I met in 1990 and haven’t spoken with in eleven years found me on Facebook. I was so excited to see her beautiful face. We knew each other in college, though we went to different schools in different states. We used to send postcards to each other every week, with awesome multi colored crayola skinny markers in fun shades. (This was before email, cell phones and social networking...

Missing church
When calculating the time from east Tulsa to mounds take into consideration that the two are no close. Due to this miscalculation on my part we missed church. Egregious as we were to light the candle in the wreath which is one of my favorite advent symbols. Such iside I suppose.
Ten Little Monkeys
Sock monkeys that is. Packed and ready to ship to various new homes. I had thought of naming them but didn’t want to predict what their new peeps would call them. I thought of Bruce, Rupert, Charlie, Milo, Ana, Billie, George, Harold…
